When we first encountered "It's Jerry Time," it was late 2005 and Jerry was only a few episodes in to his animated tales of misadventures, mishaps, and missed opportunities. Since then, the series has served up numerous episodes (current count: 13), earned a first-ever Emmy "iPod" nomination, allowed Jerry to dispense advice to the needy, and even landed an agent for Jerry and Orrin Zucker, the two brothers behind the site.
Here's how it works: Jerry recounts a real-life exploit (or utter lack of exploit) in a deadpan voice. Orrin illustrates the tale with his distinctive googly-eye, collage-style animation. Their semi-regular collaboration, covering everything from Jerry's despicable landlord to his brief period dating a martial arts moll, has attracted an enthusiastic reception. Even Hollywood has come knocking, but so far no deal has been reached. We want the Zuckers to make as much money as Seinfeld. We just hope that, no matter what happens, Jerry stays Jerry.
