Dear readers of Yahoo! Picks,
We're sorry to say that Picks has stopped updating. After 12 years, we're moving on to new projects and fresh ways of highlighting cool sites across the Web. We'll still be here in different guises, like on Yahoo! Green writing about eco-friendly sites, or Yahoo! Answers calling out cool questions, or on the Yahoo! Buzz Log, sifting through what people are searching for online. And the Yahoo! Picks archive will remain available to anyone who wants to wander in. Thanks for your support and attention all these years.
We leave you with Airborne Cats, one of our favorite Flickr photo collections—and a past Pick.
All best,
Yahoo! Picks

First Penelope Trunk, now Yahoo Picks. In the last week Yahoo has trashed my two favorite parts of my My Yahoo. I guess they were just tired of my readership.
Ahh, change. Its so much easier to take when you understand.

This sucks. Don't go! You've brought me so much joy! I've loved you for so long, and yet I never told you so. Come back - we can work things out. I can change! I'll be so much more attentive, I promise! I can post more comments, so you know how I feel... I'll spend more time with you... I'll tell you how much I appreciate your hard work looking all over the web for sites that entertain and enlighten me... Don't go...

You know, between the lousy spam filtering and the buggy web-mail interface, I was thinking about getting rid of my Yahoo page anyway. The only thing that held me back? Yahoo Picks. I feel like we're in a bad production of The Producers. Are the powers that be deliberately trying to kill Yahoo?
To those of you who actually ran Yahoo Picks - thank you! Great job. Most of my bookmarks are sites you have brought to my attention.

Thank you for all the sites you have brought to my attention. Like mk31762 most of my bookmarks are because of you. Now the only sites that will be brought to my attention are the lame porn ones suggested by coworkers. Dang, why is it when something works some corporate boy wonder has to come along and kill it then tell us that we really didn't like it anyway?

I agree with all the comments. I've read Yahoo picks every day, gotten my best sites from here and I hate to see you go. You will be missed. It is amazing to me that the most interesting and enjoyable features on Yahoo are removed. You guys are great and have done a wonderfu job. Success in all you do. You will be missed by us all. I don't think Yahoo has much that is as interesting or can retain reader loyalty without you. Too bad.
